Learn to Joget

The Joget is one of five traditional Malay dance forms practiced and performed in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei.  The others are the Asli, Inang, Masri, and Zapin. These five common dance forms each have their own unique aesthetic, rhythm and music accompaniment.

Step into the world of Joget and immerse yourself in the rhythm and tradition of this expressive Malay dance. Journey through time to discover how the dance evolved from its origins in communal celebrations to becoming a popular social past time at dance halls, and eventually as a cultural performance on the proscenium stage.

Through the magic of motion capture technology and virtual reality, learn to joget from accomplished dancer-choreographers Norhaizad Adam and Hasyimah Harith from P7:1SMA.

This unique VR experience blends historical storytelling with hands-on dance practice, offering a fun and educational way to discover Malay cultural heritage.
